HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A Memorial Day Service will follow the Memorial Day Parade in Holland at the Civil War Monument in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
The program is presented by the Holland Area Veterans Council and will feature a greeting by Holland Mayor Nancy DeBoer, Holland Christian High School Band will perform a salute to Armed Forces, the V.F.W. will present the firing of Military Salute and Chaplain Adrian Van Houten will perform the benediction.
At sunrise the “Avenue of Flags” at the cemetery will be on display and include more than 430 casket flags to represent a deceased military veteran. 1450 WHTC will carry the ceremony live starting at 11 a.m.
The parade route has been changed due to construction.
