HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – So-called nerds, geeks, and anyone who identifies with their inner child will be happy to know that the Holland Civic Center will be home to the first ever Tulip City Comics and Toy Fare this Sunday, May 22.
This event will feature a vendor hall filled with wearable nerd gear, comics, artwork, designer toys, collectibles, and other one-of-kind items. Customizable artwork is even available for purchase from select artists.
Throughout the day, panel discussions will be held on the topics of comics, toy creation, and the superheroes of Hollywood, presented by community leaders and local businesses. There will also be two costume contests — one at 12 p.m. for kids 12 and under and the other at 3 p.m. for adults.
Ideas From Mars, LLC will be hosting the event located at 150 W. 8th St. in Downtown Holland from 10p.m. thru 4:30 p.m. Other sponsors include The Lost City, Estate Sales Warehouse, BAM! Bowling Alley, and Our Brewing Company. Tickets are $5 for adults and kids 12 and under are free with a paid adult admission.
