MUSKEGON, MI (WHTC) – Step back in time to the 1940’s with the Michigan branch of Pinups for Patriots Pinup Contest.
Muskegon’s first D-Day pinup contest has the Rolling Thunder Michigan Chapter 4 and Pinups for Patriots Michigan branch teaming up together for this first contest aboard the USS LST 393 War Ship Saturday May 21. 2016. Contestants should show up in their best family friendly World War II era pinup look for a chance to become the first ever Miss Muskegon D-Day.
Michigan’s Pinups for Patriots honor and serve the nation’s military, veterans, first responders and their families by supporting and creating unique programs and events that foster patriotism. The organization also raises awareness for post traumatic stress disorder. The attend, promote and host events that have to do with veterans and those currently serving in the military.
There is a $10 entry fee and first place winners will get a tiara, sash and professional photoshoot with a local photographer. The contest starts at 3 p.m. or 1500 military time.
