HOLLAND (WHTC) — Bret Tyler Williams, the suspect in a Feb. 22 attempted robbery of a Blendon Twp. gas station, faces two counts of assault with intent to murder charges. The Holland Sentinel is reporting he has been deemed incompetent for trial.
The 19-year-old Hudsonville man called 911 to report his actions on Feb. 22, 2016, after stabbing a customer at the Mobil gas station, 4842 Port Sheldon Rd.; he’d moments earlier attempted robbing the gas station’s two clerks.
Williams then waited for police to arrive and arrest him. Since his arrest he’s been in Ottawa County jail on a $500,000 cash bond; The Sentinel’s report indicates he will receive court-ordered treatment at a forensic facility.
