HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Now that Tulip Time is over, Stage 2 of construction begins on US-31 in Holland and will last till mid August.
Today, May 16, southbound US-31 traffic will be crossed over to northbound US-31 near New Holland Street as crews begin to reconstruct southbound US-31 from Quincy Street south to 8th Street.
According to MDOT, two lanes of southbound traffic and two lanes of northbound traffic will be maintained from Ransom Street to Lakewood Boulevard. Two lanes of northbound traffic and one lane of southbound traffic will be maintained from Lakewood Boulevard south to 8th Street.
The following ramps will be closed for the duration of Stage 2:
- Lakewood Boulevard on ramp to southbound US-31
- Southbound US-31 exit ramp to Chicago Drive (I-196 BL)
- EB & WB Chicago Drive (I-196 BL) on ramps to southbound US-31
