ALLENDALE TOWNSHIP, MI (WHTC) – Ottawa County Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at the Admiral Gas Station in Allendale Township on Saturday night.
In a report from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, The Admiral Gas Station located at 6781 Lake Michigan Drive near 68th Avenue was robbed by a heavyset white male in dark clothing at approximately 10 p.m. on Saturday night. The clerk who was working in the gas station told deputies that the suspect implied that he was carrying a handgun.
After getting the cash in the register from the clerk, the suspect fled in an unknown direction.The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Canine Unit conducted a search of the area surrounding the gas station, but were unable to locate the suspect.

Responding agents to this incident include Allendale Township Community Police Unit, The Grand Valley State University Department of Public Safety, Ottawa County Sheriff’s Canine Unit, Road Patrol and Detective Bureau.
