OTSEGO (WKZO-AM) — Five Otsego Public School students were taken to the hospital complaining of minor injuries after two school buses collided on Washington at North streets after school on Monday.
The wreck occurred after one of the bus drivers was distracted by a disturbance on board their bus. The driver was looking in a rear-view mirror when the second bus ran into the back of it.
All of the injuries were described as minor. The rest of the students, all from the middle and high school, were either released to their parents or loaded onto other buses for the ride home.
Otsego Police Chief Gordon Conkle says the at-fault driver will probably be ticketed.
No word on damage to the buses.
