HOLLAND (WHTC) — The city of Holland joins more than 9,000 communities and organizations worldwide to recognize the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.
The 2008 National Defense Authorization Act recognizes all Vietnam-era veterans, regardless of where they served, according to Roger Jansen, Holland Area Veterans Council president, from all branches of military as well as families of those killed or missing in action.
Holland’s 50th Anniversary Commemoration is set for 7 p.m. today (April 29, 2016) at the Holland Civic Center. City officials indicated this week hudreds have registered to attend the free event, which is open to the public.
