HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Holland High has a new principal.
Katie Pennington has been hired to replace Deb Feenstra who is retiring at the end of the school year. Pennington is currently the principal of Kenowa High School in Alpine Township. The Holland Sentinel reports she has held that position for five years and was previously principal at Rogers High School in Wyoming.
Pennington graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in history and French and earned her master’s in educational leadership from Western Michigan University.
You may recall that Pennington was in the news when she gave a single-day suspension to 65 Kenowa Hills seniors who participated in a senior class 3-mile bike ride to school without informing school officials.
Pennington will start her position at Holland High School on July 1.
