HOLLAND (WHTC) — A single-vehicle crash on the 1100 block of Georgetown Twp.’s Maplewood Drive injured two Jenison residents, David and Kathleen Ymker, Sunday morning, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Steve Austin.
David Ymker, 55, was at the wheel of the 2016 Chevrolet Equinox headed east on Maplewood Drive just after 8:30 a.m. Sunday when he experienced a medical condition, Austin said.
As a consequence, the Equinox veered off the road, into an air-conditioning unit, a house and through a fence until the vehicle dunked into an in-ground pool holding up to 5 feet of water, Austin said.
He and his wife, Kathleen, 57, were wearing seatbelts, Austin said, but each suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
