ROYALTON TWP, MI (WHTC) – A popular morning radio host on 98.3 The Coast was found dead along with her husband in an apparent murder-suicide.
Michigan State Police say Eric Stewart, 51 killed his wife, Denise Bohn-Stewart 45, and then himself early Tuesday morning. His body was found by their children, who called 9-1-1. The children ages 10,9 and 8 were waiting at the front door when police arrived. None of the children were injured.
Eric was a 28-year employee of the Cook Nuclear Power Plant in Bridgman, while his wife was a veteran TV journalist and co-hosted the morning show on an adult contemporary station in Benton Harbor.
Denise Bohn-Stewart who was a Michigan State graduate was a breast cancer survivor and served as development director for Susan G. Koman Michigan.
Autopsies on the couple are scheduled for today, April 20 in Grand Rapids.
