LANSING, MI (WHTC) – State Sen.Tonya Schuitmaker of Lawton will be at the Capital in Lansing tonight April 13, for a vigil for the Crime Victim Foundation.
Schuitmaker will be joined by Sen. Steven Bieda and Attorney General Bill Schutte at the vigil. The Michigan Crime Victims Vigil serves as a remembrance for victims, along with families and friends of those who have been impacted by a crime. The event takes place every year as part of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.
The vigil will take place at 6 p.m. at the Capital in Lansing.
