HOLLAND (WHTC) — Two women suffered minor neck injuries after their car slid off Lake Michigan Drive and rolled over Sunday morning.
The crash happened just after 10 a.m. and speed was a factor, said Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Dean DeVries, given the slushy road conditions at the time.
Driver Rachel McIbarra,18, of Allendale, and one of her two passengers, Tramaine Arianna Johnson, 20, of Chicago, each suffered what DeVries called “minor neck injuries.”
A third passenger, Breanna Deora Frayer, 21, of Saginaw, was not hurt, DeVries said.
McIbarra lost control of her car while driving on Lake Michigan Drive near Cheyenne Trail in Tallmadge Township.
The car hit a mailbox on the road’s east side, rolled over and landed on its roof. . It’s unclear whether the women were wearing seatbelts or not, DeVries said.
Life EMS and Tallmadge Twp. Fire Rescue responded along with Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies.
