HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) — Holland resident Raul Campos, 23, was arraigned in 58th District Court Monday on one count of resisting and obstructing police.
He was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond pending his next court date.
Campos allegedly led Holland police on a brief chase Sunday evening after being involved in a hit-and-run crash on the 400 block of West 16th Street. Police observed him later crashing his car into some trash bins on Ninth Street, according to Dykstra.
Police tried to stop Campos at 15th Street and River Avenue but he continued on River to Michigan Avenue, then south on South Washington Avenue. From there, police followed him onto U.S. 31 northbound while another police team deployed spikes to flatten his tires.
But flat tired didn’t stop the car; Campos continued driving on Lincoln Avenue, right to his residence, the 1000 block. He was arrested at that time, police said.
