HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – April is Child Abuse Prevention and Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
This Thursday, March 31, the Herrick District Library will kickoff their Pinwheel Garden. According to the Ottawa Department of Public Health, nationwide the pinwheel is a happy and uplifting symbol of childhood. The Pinwheel is now recognized as a national symbol to bring community awareness of child abuse prevention efforts.
On March 31, hear updates from community leaders, and help bring attention to the Prevention of Child Abuse, Neglect and Sexual Assault from 9-9:30 a.m. at Herrick District Library and help plant a pinwheel. Ottawa County Department of Public Health will hold a Pinwheel Garden Event Thursday, March 31 at 1 p.m. at 12251 James Street in Holland.
