Easter is this Sunday and many Holland families will be taking advantage of the break in the chilly, rainy weather of Michigan springtime to go to various egg hunts and Easter Bunny visits in the area.
In Downtown Holland, families can visit the Bunny Hop at Cappon House on West 9th Street to join in on the Easter festivities. With two admission times, one being from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the other being 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., parents don’t have to worry about showing up to the egg hunt and all the other kids have already found all the eggs.
For the kids, there will be games, prizes, candy and of course one-on-one time with the Easter Bunny in addition to the egg hunt. Family –friendly tours of the Cappon House are also included free with this event.
Brent Alan, host of WHTC’s sister station 92.7 The Van, is also getting in on the Easter Egg Action. He will be broadcasting live at Golden Orchards Assisted Living at 2464 55th St. in Fennville for the lakeshore’s largest Easter Egg Hunt. Over 200 eggs filled with goodies and four golden eggs will be hidden and the golden eggs can be redeemed for big prizes like Fitbits, tablets, and more.
Sponsored by the Greater Fennville Chamber of Commerce, this Easter Hunt will also feature cradts, facepainting, and cookie decoration. Hunt times for the kids are: 10:30 a.m. for ages 7-12; 11 a.m. for ages 4-6; and 3 and younger will start at 11:30 a.m.
