HOLLAND (WHTC) — Fourteen-year-old Mary Adeline Squiers, who ran away from her home in Holland this week, was found, safe, in Indianapolis Wednesday night, according to an email from Holland Police Capt. Robert Buursma.
“HDPS has been notified that 14 year old Mary Squiers has been located, unharmed, in Indianapolis. Authorities in Indianapolis will hold her until family is able to pick her up and return her to Holland,” Buursma wrote.
Earlier Wednedsay, police from Holland to Indianapolis, IN, went looking for the girl, who’d run away from her home on West 13th street overnight.
Detectives found that Mary’s online records showed she planned to walk or ride her bike from Holland to Indianapolis to meet someone she’d been talking to online.
Michigan State Police responded to a report of a young female hitchiking near exit 41 off I-196 near Saugatuck but could not find the girl.
