HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Civic Center Steering Committee’s final recommendation will be presented this week to Holland City Council.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 16 at Holland City Hall. The Civic Center Steering Committee have cancelled their study session scheduled for tonight, Monday, March 14.
Public meetings have been held since November with input on the design and now the focus will be funding. Jim and Eileen Herringa of Holland have given a $2 million dollar donation to kick off the renovations. Edgewater Resources is the design firm heading up the project.
The next three months will focus on fundraising and the city plans to break ground in October. The Civic Center is expected to open in two years.
