HOLLAND (WHTC) — A two-car injury crash today temporarily shut down the intersection of Riley Street and 136th Avenue.
The two drivers, Carrie Grimaldo, 39, of Holland Township, and Hunter Torp, 18, of Holland, suffered minor injuries, according to Ottawa County Sheriff Sgt. Brent Converse.
The crash happened when Grimaldo, driving west on Riley, attempted a left turn south onto 136, crossing into the path of Torp’s vehicle, Converse said.
Torp was taken by AMR Ambulance to Holland Hospital for treament of non-life-threatening injuries, Converse said, while Grimaldo refused treatment at the scene.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, but Holland Township firefighters had to extricate Torp, he said.
