HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A two-car head-on crash seriously hurt a Grand Haven Township woman Wednesday and caused two others minor injuries.
The crash happened just after 2 p.m. Wednesday near the corner of 172nd Avenue and Comstock Street in Grand Haven Township. That’s when 51-year-old Adam Mohamed, at the wheel of a Dodge Caravan, attempted to turn onto Comstock Street from 172nd Avenue.
According to Sgt. Bob Ruster with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, Mohamed turned the van into the path of a Honda Accord, with 41-year-old Heather Lowe at the wheel and her daughter in the front passenger seat.
Lowe who received internal injuries was first transported to North Ottawa Commmunity Hospital then was flown to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital. Her 14-year-old daughter, Kaylee, and Mohamed were both treated and released from North Ottawa Community Hospital.
Ruster said Lowe had the right-of-way.
