HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The final public meeting about renovations plans for Holland’s Civic Center was last night.
Public meetings have been held since November with input on the design and now the focus will be funding. Jim and Eileen Herringa of Holland have given a $2 million dollar donation to kick off the renovations. Edgewater Resources is the design firm heading up the project.
The next three months will focus on fundraising and the city plans to break ground in October. The Civic Center is expected to open in two years.
Designers are expected to present the final design proposal to city council next week.
