HOLLAND (WHTC) — Ottawa County Sheriff’s detectives were called to investigate a threatening email received by Coopersville Public Schools Monday afternoon, March 7, according to Capt. Mark Bennett
Because the email suggested the potential for harm to students and staff, administrators alerted the school resource deputy, who contacted detectives and other law enforcement officials.
Bennett said school employees checked all exterior doors and deputies looked for suspicious activity. Though no threat was found and it appeared to be a hoax, Bennett said, “the matter is being taken very seriously and the investigation is ongoing.”
