HOLLAND (WHTC) — Rob Kengis announced Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, he’ll run as a Republican candidate to become Allegan County’s next prosecuting attorney. The current prosecutor, Frederick Anderson, told Allegan County’s board of commissioners today he’ll not seek re-election this year — and he’s endorsing Kengis, whose campaign committee co-chairs are Allegan County Sheriff Blaine Koops and City of Allegan Police Chief Rick Hoyer.
Kengis has been an Allegan County assistant prosecutor for 23 years; he’s been chief assistant prosecuting attorney for the last five years.
