HOLLAND (WHTC) — A Hudsonville woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries when the Volkwagon Beetle in which she was a passenger slid across Chicago Drive, rolled and landed on its roof Thursday afternoon.
Ottawa County Sgt. Mike Bagladi said Callie Hildebridle, 25, was wearing her seatbelt and was taken to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital.
The crash happened when the Beetle’s driver, Ryan James Geanette, 26, also of Hudsonville, lost control on a patch of ice, Bagladi said.
“The vehicle then crossed over both westbound lasnes of Chicago Drive and rolled into the ditch, landing on its top,” Bagladi said in an audio news release on Thursday afternoon.
Geanette wasn’t hurt in the crash.
