HOLLAND (WHTC) — Allegan County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a 17-year-old suspect from Fennville in the overnight Trowbridge Township shooting, according to Undersheriff Frank Baker.
The suspect was arrested following a traffic stop, Baker said.
The 37-year-old victim, a Kalamazoo-area man, suffered non-life threatening injuries and is being treated at Bronson Hospital.
The victim and witnesses told police a disagreement erupted between the victim and the suspect over an earlier sale of a gun when the victim was shot. The meeting and shooting happened just before 1:30 a.m. at the Little John Lake County Park on 133th Avenue in Trowbridge Township.
