HOLLAND (WHTC) — Two Holland women were hurt in a two-vehicle crash on Westshore Drive near Felch, at 2 p.m. Friday, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. David VenderPloeg.
Rachel Kelley, 20, of Coloma, at the wheel of a 2006 Toyota Camry, was attempting to turn from Felch onto Westshore, VanderPloeg said.
Kelley’s car struck a 1996 Dodge Caravan driven by Maria Guerrero, 60, of Holland, he said, after a third driver had motioned for Kelley to complete her turn from Felch on to Westshore. Guerrero was in Westshore’s left turn lane; VanderPloeg said traffic was heavy at that hour and Kelley didn’t see the Caravan.
Both Guerrero and her passenger, Berta Casillas, 65, of Holland, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken by AMR Ambulance to Holland Hospital for treatment, he said.
