HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Demetrius Lake scored 36 points, including 16 in the second quarter, to lead Holland High to a 62-43 win over Hamilton in boys high school basketball action Friday. (Listen to the game podcast.)
The win kept the Dutch one game behind Byron Center in the O-K Green heading into the final week of conference play next week. The Bulldogs stayed in sole possession of first place with a 64-50 win over Zeeland West.
West Ottawa suffered its first loss of the season, falling to East Kentwood at home, 64-48. Unity Christian needed overtime to get past Holland Christian at the Civic Center, 63-59. Zeeland East downed Muskegon Reeths-Puffer 58-42 and Saugatuck rallied to defeat Coloma, 61-55.
