LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Jason Gutting has been appointed as the Michigan Department of Transportation’s new Construction Field Services Division administrator.
According to MDOT, Gutting has served as the Construction Operations engineer for the CFS Division and as a system operations engineer in the Operations Field Services Division. Gutting is succeeding Brenda O’Brien, who will reitre from MDOT at the end of March.
The CFS Division is responsible for the development and distribution of construction specifications, quality control/quality assurance programs. field consultation standards, and training in support of the region’s delivery of the annual transportation program.
Gutting holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Michigan State University. He is a licensed professional engineer in Michigan. He began his career working for several consultants before coming to MDOT in 1998 as a design engineer at the Lansing TSC.
