GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning till 10 a.m. Thursday, February 10, for Ottawa and Allegan Counties.
Snow will be heavy at times with snow rates in excess of an inch per hour according to the NWS. Winds from the Northwest will occasionally gust to 30 MPH producing a near zero visibility today, but will diminish this evening.
Roads will be snow covered and slippery. Travel through Thursday morning will be slow and hazardous. Road salt will be less effective as daytime temperatures will only reach the lower 20’s.
The Michigan Department of Transportation reminds motorists to adjust speeds based on conditions.
