GEORGETOWN TWP. (WHTC) — A Grand Rapids man suffered minor injuries after a truck he was driving rolled over on an M6 ramp Thursday afternoon, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jeff Steigenga.
Marco Guillen of Grand Rapids, at the wheel of an asphalt truck, lost control of his vehicle on the wet road as he left westbound I-196 for the eastbound M6 ramp, Steigenga said. The truck hit a ramp guardrail and rolled, spilling asphalt on the roadway, Steigenga said.
Guillen was taken by EMS Life Ambulance to Metro Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Steigenga said.
Guillen had been wearing a seatbelt, police said. Georgetown Fire Department assisted at the scene. The crash happened just after noon Thursday; clean-up took about two hours, Steigenga said.
