HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – It’s the Lakeshore’s version of Lenny Briscoe and Jack McCoy.
The fictitious detective and district attorney in the long-running “Law and Order” television series may have, in some sense, a real-life parallel in Ottawa County Sheriff Gary Rosema and Prosecutor Ron Frantz. Ever since the high-profile Janet Chandler murder case in 2006, the two law enforcement officials have been a part of a “cold case” investigative effort to solve long-standing criminal cases in the county.
In a January 14, 2016 appearance on WHTC’s “Talk of the Town” program, Rosema, who is retiring at year’s end, and Frantz talked with host Juke Van Oss about their cold case effort. This video is part of their remarks; the entire interview can be heard and/or downloaded free of charge by going to “Talk of the Town with Juke Van Oss” in the podcast tab at WHTC.com.
