LANSING (WHTC) — Recall fever seems to be striking some of Michigan’s voters.
The state’s Board of Canvassers on Thursday approved language on recall petitions against Michigan Senate Majority Leader Arlan Meekhof of Olive Township and state Senator Wayne Schmidt from Traverse City.
Recall activists are livid over the duo’s votes to increase fuel taxes and vehicle registration fees to pay for road work.
Meanwhile the Flint water crisis has spurred recall fervor against Gov. Rick Snyder. On Thursday the Detroit Free Press reported eight recall petitions were filed with the state, bringing to 12 the total number of petitions filed so far against the governor.
