WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC) – A month-long public comment period on a proposed long-range plan by the Ottawa County Parks and Recreation Commission has begun. Those wishing to view the document and provide input can go here for further information, with the public comment period ending on February 8th. The Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan, which involves proposed projects and funding, was drawn up after a year of soliciting a wide range of public input by the Parks Department, and officials say it reflects the current needs and desires of the community. The Commission plans to review the public comments and possibly vote on the plan at its February 10th meeting.
