NORTH POLE (WHTC) – NORAD and Google are tracking Santa’s round-the-world Christmas Eve deliveries.
The government’s North American Defense Command is tracking the jolly old elf for the 60th year. Military command center volunteers will provide real-time updates on Santa’s progress and answer questions from callers around the world.
Santa Claus will be packing on the pounds during his journey to deliver presents. The USDA has released figures that reveal just how many calories St. Nick will consume during his trip tonight. If one out of every three U.S. household leaves out chocolate chip cookies for the big guy, and he has just one bite in each house, he’d eat a combined two-point-one-million cookies this Christmas Eve.
Google will use Google Maps to show where on the route Santa is at any given time. You can check it out at www.noradsanta.org.
