HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Two Holland teenagers are in the Ottawa County jail awaiting arraignment on Home Invasion charges in the first degree along with unlawful driving away an automobile.
According to Captain Mark Bennett with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, the home invasion occurred about 1 a.m. Monday morning in the 600 block of Butternut Drive in Holland Township. The suspects stole two cell phones and car keys to a 2003 Buick that was parked at the residence. The victim was asleep when the suspects entered the home.
The suspects left the scene in the stolen auto and they did not have any contact with the victim nor was she awoken. The vehicle was found abandoned later in the day on Monday found in the 600 block of Commerce Court in Holland Township.
Detectives quickly developed and followed several leads leading them to arrest the two teens from Holland Township. They were taken into custody Tuesday. Names will be released following their arraignment.
