WAYLAND, MI (WHTC) – The farming cooperative CHS has opened a full-service agronomy center in Wayland. The Reno Drive facility, less than a mile from the 135th Avenue exit on US-131, will be able to hold 18 thousand tons of dry fertilizer storage, liquid fertilizer blending and distribution with 4.4 million gallons of storage, a 100-car rail loop, and a 20 thousand square-foot crop protection and seed service center. Company officials say that the complex has the potential to “integrate well” with a recent 2.8 billion-dollar company investment in CF Industries Nitrogen. CHS has area locations in Holland and Hamilton.
