ZEELAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – No names were disclosed by Sheriff’s Deputies investigating a single-vehicle crash that hospitalized eight persons, two of which were children, on Saturday evening north of Zeeland. It is believed that heavy fog that had descended upon the Lakeshore was a factor as an older model minivan drove through the stop sign on 88th Avenue at New Holland Street just after 6 PM and went straight into a ditch. The occupants were taken to either Spectrum-Zeeland Community Hospital or Holland Hospital in stable condition with apparently non-life threatening injuries.
