HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Michigan State Police are encouraging citizens to drive safely this holiday season. In a press release posted last week, the State Police stated that they will be on the lookout for drunk drivers that are speeding, swerving lanes, and driving recklessly.
Community Service Trooper Martin Miller warns “Driving under the influence of alcohol endangers everyone, from the driver to the passengers, to other people on the road.”
To combat drunk driving, Michigan State Police advise to always have a designated driver before the party begins. In addition, party hosts are asked to make sure all guests leave with a sober driver.
