LANSING, MI (WHTC) – The Michigan Department of Transportation has tabbed Erick Kind as the new Grand Region engineer, replacing Roger Safford, who retires at the end of the month following a 28-year career with the department. Kind, who has been with MDOT for over two decades, will be responsible for over 14 hundred miles of state trunk line roads in Allegan, Ottawa and 11 other West Michigan counties.
