HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The motive in the double murder of a 37-year-old female named Mani Khounvongsa and a 40-year-old Hispanic man named Gilberto Andrade-Pena of Holland was jealousy, according to multiple reports..
Bounthavee Nerasin killed his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend before taking his own life outside a Buddist temple Monday afternoon. Nerasin, of Zeeland, entered the apartment, in the 300 block of Stratford Way in Holland, about 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, and fired multiple shots at the victims.
Capt. Jack Dykstra with the Holland Department of Public Safety told the Holland Sentinal that the investigation shows that Nerisin, who is married, had a prior relationship with Khounvongsa and had been “stalking” her and Andrade-Pena.
According to police, Nerasin’s wife has also confirmed he was the father of Khounvongsa’s seven-year-old daughter. Police found a note he wrote indicating he was going to meet with the victims on Monday.
