ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – No decisions will be made until public hearings are held next month at the earliest, but Zeeland City Council members will be going over recommendations involving amending the city’s alcohol ordinances. An Alcohol Review Advisory Committee proposed several changes involving the ratio of food served by liquor by the glass licensees, the question of walk-in coolers for liquor by the container licensees, and whether to extend the area for allowing establishments with liquor licenses in Zeeland. In addition, city staffers want to allow alcohol sales at certain municipal events.
