UNDATED (WHTC) – A recent criminal scourge in West Michigan has made its way to the Lakeshore. Deputies say skimming devices were installed in gas pumps at the Stanton Corners, Exxon 136th Avenue and Quality River Avenue gas stations between Friday and Sunday. Victims told clerks of “strange purchases” on debit cards that they had used, and a check found the invasive devices. Sheriff’s detectives are working with the electronic crimes work group of the Grand Rapids Police Department, where a number of similar incidents have occurred. No suspects are in custody and tips to Silent Observer are welcome.
