LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Three Ottawa County projects and one Allegan County project are slated to share in nearly 28 million dollars in Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund grants recommended to the Legislature today by that fund’s board. The biggest grant of 400 grand goes to acquire nearly 19 acres of land adjacent to Saugatuck Dunes State Park for its expansion. Dunton Park’s shoreline renovation and a barrier-free kayak launch is getting 300 thousand dollars, while Zeeland’s Spash Park’s expansion receives 50 grand and the extension of the North Bank Trail in Nunica will get 45 thousand dollars.
