West Ottawa High School is a Grammy signature school semifinalist.
It’s the eighth time in the last nine years West Ottawa has qualified for the competition, which recognizes schools’ outstanding commitment to music education.
Finalists will receive up to $6,000 for their music programs. The awards will be announced next March. West Ottawa’s Music Department Chairperson Mike Hamann praised teachers, calling them dedicated to helping students excel in music.
West Ottawa is one of one hundred nineteen schools nationwide to qualify as a Grammy signature school semifinalist.
