LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Nearly 13 million dollars will be going to train over 13 thousand job-seekers and workers for in-demand technical positions statewide through the Michigan Skilled Trades Training Fund announced today by Governor Snyder. Established two years ago to help fill the need for such specialized staffers, more than 350 employers are taking advantage of the program for Fiscal 2016. Along the Lakeshore, 17 companies are sharing nearly 728 thousand dollars from the MSTTF, led by Genzink Steel at almost 107 thousand dollars and Challenge Manufacturing at just over 100 grand.
