Vandalism Strikes Holland

HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Holland Public Safety continues to investigate a fresh rash of graffiti that struck the northern end of Central Avenue overnight. Various businesses, including Midwest Communications’ Holland offices, were struck with spray-painted words that included the letters ISIS, although investigators don’t believe at this point that the vandalism had any bearing on the militant group. It’s the first large-scale graffiti action seen in the Tulip City since anti-police sentiments in the wake of the Ferguson, Missouri civil unrest last year. No suspects are in custody, and anyone with any information is asked to contact Holland Public Safety or Silent Observer.
