GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – Retired General David H. Petraeus will be the keynote speaker during this year’s Dutch-American Heritage Celebration today.
Petraeus, who is the son of a Dutch-American sea captain, will be honored at the event for his longstanding dedication to the country. He led and commanded several operations in the Iraq war and later commanded U.S. Central Command and coalition forces in Afghanistan. Following his military career, he served as director of the CIA.
The celebration takes place at the Pinnacle Center at 3330 Highland Drive in Hudsonville. A reception starts at 5:30 p.m. and dinner is at 6:45 p.m.
