SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WHTC) – Students at South Haven High will wear Purple and Gold to school today to honor and remember Quarterback Devon Smiley who died in a weekend wreck in Southern Allegan County.
He was apparently returning home from a Halloween party when he hit a tree. His football coach…Troy Ayotte says he was a real leader and a pleasure to be around.
Superintendent Bob Herrera says they will have grief counselors at the school all week.Funeral services for the 17-year-old Senior are still pending.
