SAUGATUCK/HOLLAND (WHTC) – Tonight is Halloween, and besides the usual trick-or-treating, there are plenty of things to do around the area. In Saugatuck, the annual Halloween costume parade, with a family-friendly theme, begins at 4 p.m. at the corner of Mason and Griffith downtown. Before that, they’ll be giving away cider and donuts at the American Legion Hall. After the parade, it’s back to the American Legion Hall for a magic show. Then tonight in Douglas, it’s the annual Halloween Parade for adults. Event organizer Erin Wilkinson says it might not be a bad idea to get there early. The pre-parade show begins at 9 p.m. along Center Street with the parade starting at 10 p.m. Also today, the Holland Museum is hosting “Monsters at the Museum” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., where kids can trick-or-treat and take part in games and activities. Admission is free for kids in costume and their accompanying adults.
