HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A 19-year-old Holland man will spend six months in the Ottawa County Jail after pleading guilty to fleeing and eluding and unlawful use of a motor vehicle charges. Cody Simmons led police on a chase during the September 1st morning commute at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour on residential streets, until crashing a pickup truck in the Central Avenue construction zone at 14th Street. A female passenger jumped out during the chase and suffered minor injuries. Simmons and another passenger fled, with Simmons captured a short distance away. The other passenger was not charged.
